The IM girls bb team finished up their season last Friday at Duniway. Team 4 played for the championship against Duniway and won by one point!  The girls played amazing basketball working together to secure the win.  The girls dominated offensively and made a clutch free throw that put Patton up by one.  In the end the girls were victorious.   Team 3 played for third place and won as well!  Their defense was so intense the Duniway Dragons could not get anything going offensively.  Team 3 has great chemistry on the court, making incredible passes and fast break opportunities.    Thank you girls for coming out this year!  With every practice and game you improved greatly.  Your work ethic and positive attitudes were game changers.  I hope to see you all next year!

Great job to all of the students who entered the "Governor for a Day" essay contest by the deadline last week.  Congratulations to Laney Hyder who is representing Patton in the contest.  Laney's essay followed the required format, was well organized, and had a clear focus, highlighting the values in becoming a leader in our community.  Laney's desire to foster leadership skills in students and give students a voice will likely resonate with Oregon's Governor, Kate Brown, who sponsored the essay contest.  The winner will get to spend a day in February being, you guessed it, governor for the day!  Good luck Laney, and great job to all who entered!
